    Chief Cook

Kenneth P Guidroz Jr, better known as KP, began cooking at a very early age down in the bayous just south of New Orleans. Southern Louisiana is very well known for its infamous Cajun seafood boils. Seafood in the area is very abundant due to the easy access of the bayous and Gulf of Mexico.

    Louisiana Crawfish

Starting from February to about early July the Louisiana crawfish boil holds a special bond in our culture. Crawfish in Louisiana dates back all the way to the pre -colonial days. The Acadians (ancestors of the Cajuns) get most of the credit for bringing crawfish to Louisiana but Native Americans were eating crawfish long before the Europeans arrived.

We’re Proud of Our Cajun Culture

    The Heart of Louisiana
Louisiana is home to some of America’s most colorful culture, including a huge Creole and Cajun population. The Spanish, French, African, and Native American influences are visible in every way. We speak our own language, have our own style of music and a uniquely delectable cuisine. While Cajun country only covers around 30 percent of the state, it's traditions have a hand just about everywhere.

In many parts of Louisiana, French and Creole are just as common as English. The farther off the beaten path you venture, the more the state starts to look and feel like a whole other country. In general, the residents take pride in their relaxed lifestyle and rich traditions. Festivals like Mardi Gras are taken as seriously as religion, and music never seems far removed from any household. New Orleans is the epicenter of almost all activity and a trip there is a memorable must.

Kenneth boils are to die for. As authentic as they come. You can really tell he was born in Cajun country. The vibe is super friendly and welcoming. The spices he uses are just amazingly tasty. I’ve been to New Orleans and tried boiled seafood and KPs seems to be even better than what I tried there. I would def recommend.

Kenneth's seafood boils are hands-down the BEST opportunity to get authentic Louisiana-style crawfish and crab in DTLA. I've been there multiple times myself, and the Bracket Shop Tavern is a great accommodating venue. 5/5 stars.
